ASCS is dedicated to the advancement of the art of Stage Combat for the professional theatre, film, and television industries. This commitment covers a wide range of services including: choreographic services for professional, educational, and live action productions; the training of the performer in the various weapon and unarmed arts; and the availability of stage-worthy weapons and specialty combat props.

ASCS choreographers have staged a wide variety of classical and modern theatrical scenes of violence, and work from the basic concept that the purpose of the violence is to advance the story and illuminate character. Choreography is created with the director's vision in mind and tailored to the abilities and needs of the performers who must be up to speed by opening night, or when the cameras are ready in 10 minutes! Period Combat is painstakingly researched so that the prescribed movement is as authentic as possible without sacrificing the safety and the aesthetics of theatricality necessary to sell the violence and tell the story to the most important entity of the production . . . the audience!
